Dianne DiResta, author of Knockout Presentations: How to
deliver your message with power, punch and pizzazz, offers
some tips for helping your audience listen to you.

1.HAVE A CONVERSATION: Use the word “you” in
your talk, as in “Ask yourself . . . ,” What would you do . . .
and so on.
2.GET PERSONAL: Use your own experiences in your
speech. People relate better to other people.
3.KEEP IT CURRENT: talk about today’s events or
tomorrow’s meeting.
4.PRESENT WITH PASSION: Enthusiasm is contagious.
5.INVOLVE THE AUDIENCE: Ask attendees to come up on
stage and assist you with the presentation.

The Coach sez . . . it is about them, not you!
